Stone Living Lab 2025 Conference Recap

The Stone Living Lab welcomed more than 350 people for our third biennial conference, “Nature-Based Coastal Resilience in Urban Settings,” on April 16-18 at UMass Boston.

We were honored to hear from Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll on all the resilience work the Commonwealth is pursuing, and welcome attendees from from around the region and as far away as Hawaii, Ireland, and Barbados.

After two engaging and informative days with dozens of presentations and opportunities for attendees to make many new professional connections, we enjoyed field trips to see North America’s first-ever Living Seawalls installations and explore the many resilience initiatives underway in Boston’s Inner Harbor and the Harbor Islands.

We hope to see you at our next conference in April 2027, and we invite you to read more about this year’s event.
