Join us on Thursday, December 18 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm for our Stone Living Lab Seminar featuring Marin Braco, Senior Project Manager at the Boston Parks and Recreation Department. In this seminar, we will learn about the Resilient Moakley Park project, where the City of Boston and its partners are transforming the park into a climate-resilient urban green space.

About Marin

Marin Braco came to the City of Boston in 2023 with over 11 years of experience in the private sector. She has dedicated her career to the design and planning of public open spaces grounded in community-centered vision and employing best practices in resilient design. While at Stoss Landscape Urbanism, she managed Moakley Park during the resilience planning and schematic design phase. In 2022, this project received an honor award in Analysis and Planning from the American Society of Landscape Architects and was recognized as the Grand Prize Winner of North America by the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Design. Now at City of Boston, she works between the Parks Department and the Office of Climate Resiliency overseeing the redesign at Moakley Park and the extension of the resilience berm to the north and south of the park.

She received her Master of Landscape Architecture from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. She was nationally recognized for her student work, receiving a 2011 ASLA Student Award in Analysis and Planning, ASLA Certificate of Honor for Excellence in the study of Landscape Architecture, and was named a 2012 Olmsted Scholar Finalist.
