Aly Putnam is a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts Boston and a marine ecologist whose research focuses on invertebrates and seaweeds in the context of climate change and climate adaptation. She uses experiments, modeling, and synthesis to understand physiological performance and inform adaptation and restoration strategies in coastal systems. Her additional research expertise centers on biological invasions and their ecological impacts. She earned her BS and MS from Smith College and her PhD in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
