Join us at SLL 2025!

We are just one week away from our second in-person conference! 300 scientists, practitioners, community members, and decision makers will come together at UMass Boston for three days of learning, sharing, and community building.

Session presenters will include geologists, coastal managers, engineers, policy experts, landscape architects, and more. We are also thrilled to announce our lineup of keynote and plenary presenters, including:

  • Dr. Katie Dafforn, co-founder of Living Seawalls, and the new Co-director of the Stone Living Lab and UMass Boston Distinguished Professor of Coastal Resilience
  • Dr. Atyia Martin, CEO and Founder of All Aces, Inc.
  • Dr. Scott Edwards, Harvard University; Dr. Nancy Knowlton, Smithsonian; Dr. Catherine Machalaba, The Nature Conservancy; and Dr. Paige Warren, UMass Amherst
  • Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll
  • A performance by Boston Lyric Opera!

There’s also plenty of opportunities for folks to connect with each other and explore some of Boston’s climate adaptations in action. Explore posters and connect over hors d’oeuvres, join us for a night of storytelling and laughter at our Blunders & Bloopers night at Boston Winery, and explore Boston Harbor by boat or foot on one of our three field trips.

Now, more than ever, the climate change community needs to come together to share ideas and support one another. We can’t wait to discover what we learn! Explore the schedule and find out more.
