Remembering Kongjian Yu
The Stone Living Lab lost a dear and inspirational friend last month when Kongjian Yu died in a plane crash in Brazil. Yu had visited the Lab several times, most recently in October 2024, when he joined our team and partners on tours around the city and gave two talks about his work around the world.
Each time that we connected with him, we were delighted by his humor and motivated by his work, and he will continue to inspire our approach to environmental restoration and climate resilience.
