Learn more about Boston’s coastal environmental history at a Ranger-led program in the lower-level Education Space at Faneuil Hall! We will discuss changes to Boston’s landscape over time by focusing on areas of “reclaimed land.” At the conclusion of the program, the Ranger will walk the group to nearby Long Wharf to witness the peak of the King Tide. This indoor presentation is estimated to last for 25 – 30 minutes.
In response to rising sea levels caused by climate change, the National Parks of Boston and the Stone Living Lab developed the self-guided High Tide Trail. The trail consists of 6 sites in downtown Boston that share stories of Boston’s changing coastline.
