Join us on Wednesday, June 18 from 2 pm to 3 pm for our Stone Living Lab June Seminar, this month featuring Liv Woods from the Massachusetts Oyster Project.

Oysters have the potential to be a powerful tool in the fight against climate change and other environmental challenges, and the Massachusetts Oyster Project is dedicated to increasing native oyster populations in Massachusetts by restoring oyster reefs throughout our coastal ecosystems to improve water quality, coastal resilience, and biodiversity.

About Liv Woods

Liv joined the Massachusetts Oyster Project as Executive Director in May 2023. Liv brings 20 years of experience across various industries, including healthcare, health insurance, hospital management, and academic organizations. Additionally, she has been involved in various consulting engagements with for-profit and non-profit organizations. Previously, Liv was employed by one of Boston’s largest health insurance companies, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, where, for nearly a decade, she was part of the strategic planning division and a member of the internal consulting group. In her most recent role, Liv served as Director of Fundraising and Operations with the American Amputee Soccer Association.

She has previously held board roles with Tomorrow’s Women TODAY, The American Amputee Soccer Association, and volunteered for Open Table Food Pantry. Liv holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from Simmons School of Management.
