Francesco Peri

Field Project Manager

Francesco Peri is the Field Project Manager at the Stone Living Lab, where he leads field campaigns, instrument design and deployments, and supports the Climate Change Observatory. A founding member of the Lab, he helped shape its original vision and proposal in 2019. Francesco brings over two decades of experience in marine instrumentation through his role as Research Engineer at UMass Boston’s School for the Environment and serves as Managing Director of the Center for Coastal Environmental Sensing Networks. He played a key role in developing the Observatory and led a multi-year Terrestrial LiDAR Scanning project on coastal erosion at Rainsford Island. Francesco holds degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florence and in Physics and Computer Science from UMass Boston.
