Are you a teacher working in the Boston area?
Join the Stone Living Lab and National Parks of Boston each summer for our Stone Living Lab Summer Teacher Institute! This free, five-day course brings Boston area teachers together to explore Boston Harbor through the lens of climate change, place-based learning, and participatory science.
Together, we learn from local experts about climate resilience work happening in and around Boston; discover opportunities to bring students to the coast; and learn how participatory science can bring authentic scientific experiences to the classroom. At the end of the course, participants will develop a capstone project, lesson, or curriculum that can be used by schools across Boston Harbor.
Applications for the 2025 Institute will open in february 2025.
